Hearing aid technology has advanced a great deal over the last 25 years. Hearing Aids were once clunky, unreliable plastic eyesores that hung around the ear in a not particularly attractive way!
Now, however, hearing aids come in many shapes and sizes. They are sleek, almost invisible, and come with various features and accessories.
Here at Celestial Hearing Solutions, we have a wide range of hearing aids. No matter what your budget, aesthetic requirements, or level of hearing loss, we will have a product here that fits your needs perfectly.
All of our hearing aid products are guaranteed to give you clear, undistorted sound, and are splash-proof as standard. For the technologically experimental, extra features and applications include music streaming, different modes for different sound environments, and wireless Android and iPhone connection.
Pay us a visit at our Las Cruces Hearing Center and take a closer look at the fantastic hearing aids we have on offer – you’re welcome to a demonstration any time!
IIC devices are the smallest custom style devices available. They are worn just past the second bend of the ear canal, so are virtually invisible. IIC devices are well-suited for those with mild to moderate hearing losses.
CIC instruments are custom made and easy to insert and remove from the ear due to the small “handle” that peaks out the side. Mostly invisible, they come in a range of colors to match your inner ear’s skin tone. Perfect for mild to moderate hearing loss.
ITC instruments sit in the lower portion of the outer ear bowl, making them comfortable and easy to use. Because they’re slightly larger than CIC models, they have a longer battery life, and can host additional features, such as directional microphones, for better understanding in noisy environments, and controls such as volume controls. They fit mild and moderate hearing losses.
Full shell models fit within the outer ear bowl. Their larger size gives them a maximum number of extra controls and features, such as directional microphones, which need space on the outer portion of the device. They use a larger battery size than the smaller styles and they can therefore also fit a larger receiver that’s powerful enough for more severe hearing losses. Highly recommended for mild to severe hearing losses.
RIC models are good for mild to severe hearing losses. They resemble mini BTEs when worn. The ear tip contains the speaker rather than the main body.
BTEs with earmolds fit mild to profound hearing losses. BTEs feature a longer shape which contours behind the outer ear. They will appear different on each wearer. This depends on the earmolds’ chosen color and style, as well as the person’s hairstyle. The larger size means they can include various features such as a program button and volume control.
